SchwARTZ boldly paints where no artist has painted before. He uses the American flags to make uplifting positive patriotic statements, whereas most artists use the flag to make protests against the country. Schwartz does the opposite. The paintings are non subversive, highly creative, ecological and viscerally powerful. While most art galleries Don’t have the guts to show fine art using flags as canvas, SchwARTZ has built a large fallowing buy selling his own art at shows and festivals across the the country in the last 10 years. I visited his Ocean House Studio in February. He was fervently working on a large commission piece for a National Museum in Washington DC. “
