CENTENNIAL OF LOS ANGELES AQUEDUCT; WILLIAM MULHOLLAND

The article written by The Museum's friend Dana Bartholomew is worthy of reading.

On November 5, 1913, William Mulholland and approximately 40,000, well-dressed Angelenos came to celebrate the engineering marvel.

The 233-mile aqueduct now ran from the High Sierras to Los Angeles bringing the highly desired water to the region.

Many well known names were part of the investment in land, dealing with water company, etc. included, amongst others:
